Today I'm in the very exotic Jackson, Ohio celebrating the Thanksmas holiday with my adopted family the Armstrongs. Thanksmas is the best holiday ever! Nothing can beat eating turkey and stuffing under the Christmas tree, watching the Thanksgiving football matches with some eggnog, or eating pumpkin pie while burning the yule log. Life is good for Dandy Danny et alia.

Today is one of those rare "Double Post" days. The first for this blog, in fact. But I would be remiss if I didn't send out a very affectionate birthday greeting to my endearing friend, and hetero lifemate, Hilton. Happy birthday old chap. I wish I were there to salsa in celebration with you. C'est la vie.
It has been rough since Hilton moved to Chicago. Visits have been few and far between. The distance wouldn't be an issue if it weren't for the damn carbon footprint that my Gulfstream G650 puts out there. I ran through all of the carbon offsets that I bought for 2009 by mid February. Al Gore, you are the bane of my existence!
Heavens to murgatroyd! Today is Sarah Palin day! The day when one tragically beautiful, underestimated, conservative superstar gets to meet Sarah Palin. I just hope she can keep her beauty queen hands to herself. Though, she wouldn't be the first librarian-esk woman throw herself at me, believe you me! Everyone should go get themselves a copy of Going Rogue. Actually, I don't really care what anyone else does. Don't buy it for all I care... but, the cool kids know where it's at!

Tonight the 5th ranked Bearcats take on the 25th ranked West Virginia Mountaineers here in CIncinnati. Man am I pumped! There's nothing like a friday night football game! As long as we can keep winning we can keep moving up the rankings, and maybe even vie for the National Championship. Right now the Bearcats are just a few steps away from having the best season in UC football history. Hopefully this Friday the 13th won't be unlucky for my Bearcats.

Versus is a criminal organization. Unfortunately, Versus is no longer available on DIRECTV. Comcast, the largest cable company in the U.S. and DIRECTV's largest competitor, owns the channel and has forced DIRECTV to pull it down. Here is the situation.
DIRECTV was already paying Comcast more than any other non-Comcast distributor to air Versus — and now Comcast is demanding an overall rate hike of 20% on top of that. Comcast also forces DIRECTV to make Versus available to a much larger portion of DIRECTV's customer base at DIRECTV's expense than they require from other TV providers — most notably, DISH Network.
We simply cannot accept these unfair and outrageous terms. All DIRECTV was asking from Comcast was equal treatment.
Why do I care? I am a DIRECTV subscriber. NHL games are frequently aired on Versus, including the Stanley Cup Playoffs. I pay extra money each year to be able to watch all Pittsburgh Penguins games. I haven't missed a game in the last 2 seasons. This year, because I won't be able to watch the games that are broadcasted on Versus, I will have to miss 8 games! Including a big game tonight against the Boston Bruins.
Versus are a bunch of thugs! Down with Versus! Down with Comcast!

Here we go, Steelers! Here we go! Beautiful day of eating leftover turkey chili leading to a climactic evening of Monday Night Football with my beloved Steelers. Don't let me down. Are you ready for some football?
Today was Juanita's ninth day away. I'm going through withdraws. I pretended to be domesticated today as I decided to cook for myself. I found a recipe in one of the kitchen cupboards for her turkey chili. I love Juanita's turkey chili. It's delicious, filling, and actually healthy. And as everyone knows, a dandy must always watch his waistline. So I went to the market, all by myself thank you, and bought exactly what the recipe called for. I took everything home and spent the rest of the day chopping, sautéing, browning, simmering and following the recipe to a 't'. Now the chili is done, and I was quite successful in replicating the deliciousness. The only problem is that the recipe didn't mention how many people it was meant to serve. So now I have 2 months worth of turkey chili. Apparently I found a recipe meant to serve the entire Chilean Army. If anyone wants some yummy turkey chili just make your way to my suite in the Orleans, and eat to your heart's content!
Juanita has been on vacation for 8 days now. She went back to Mexico for Día de los Muertos. I have no one to take care of my dry cleaning! I have been reduced to lounging around my penthouse in a t-shirt. Je suis au bout du rouleau!! There is no way she's getting Cinco de Mayo off next year.
I voted today! Did you? Don't neglect your civic duty. If you pay taxes, like me, you should care about who you're paying and what they are using your money for. Republicans and Democrats alike. VOTE, MOTHER TRUCKERS!
